Is food sensitivity testing right for you?

Is food sensitivity testing right for you? It could be if you have any of the following conditions, as these are medical conditions where food sensitivities can play a primary or secondary role…

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Functional Diarrhea
  • GERD
  • Chron’s Disease
  • Ulcerative Colitis
  • Microscopic Colitis
  • Lymphocytic Colitis
  • Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome

  • Fibromyalgia
  • Inflammatory Arthritis

  • Internal Cystitis

  • Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

  • Migraine
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Epilepsy
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Restless Leg Syndrome

  • Atopic Dermatitis
  • Urticaria
  • Psoriasis
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

  • Obesity
These conditions could be the result of a food sensitivity. This is a type of immune reaction to a certain food or chemical. This happens when your immune cells release inflammatory markers called mediators. The chemical mediators cause inflammation and pain. The symptoms may not show up immediately like they do with a food allergy so it can be difficult to identify, therefore testing is helpful.

How does this work?

1) We will meet to determine if testing is appropriate given your symptoms. This is done through a full assessment.

2) You can then complete the Mediator Release Testing (options for panels ranging from 85 to 170 food and chemicals).. The Mediator Release Test is the gold standard for food sensitivity with an accuracy of 95%. The test will measure the amount of mediators that are released after being exposed to an antigen.

3) After receiving your results, we will develop a customized eating plan designed to reduced inflammation and symptoms you have been experiencing. This eating plan will be implemented in 60-90 days. We will gradually add in foods according to the way in which you reacted to them.

Have more questions? Come in for an introductory 30-minute consult for $30. If you choose to move forward with the MRT/LEAP diet, this will be deducted from the total cost of your program.

If necessary, you will complete the Mediator Release Test (MRT), the gold standard in food sensitivity testing with the highest degree of accuracy (~95%). MRT is a blood test which examines your reaction to 150 different foods and food chemicals. The test works by measuring the amount of mediators (inflammatory compounds) that are released after exposure to food antigens.

The benefits of LEAP and MRT® go far beyond food sensitivity related health problems; however, common conditions typically achieve rapid, lasting relief in as little as 5-7 days:
