ADHD Assessment and Screening
Available by Virtual Appointments for Adults and Children in Georgia and South Carolina
Do you ever feel like there’s more to your struggles than meets the eye? But you’re thinking, “I can’t have ADHD – after all, I’m an adult!”
Did you know that 60 percent of children diagnosed with ADHD have symptoms into adulthood? Adult ADHD can often fly under the radar, leaving you confused and frustrated. That is why we offer ADHD assessment and screening for both children (as young as six) and adults.
If it feels like you or someone you care about may be struggling with ADHD, our ADHD assessments are the best place to start.
What Happens During an ADHD Evaluation Process?
While there is no set-in-stone process for assessing and treating ADHD symptoms, experienced evaluators know the research-based path that must be followed for a reliable evaluation. Using ADHD assessment tools, the evaluator is able to dig a little deeper and take the time needed to explore each step in the process.
During your assessment for ADHD, Amy will conduct a thorough mental health evaluation, during which she will obtain your medical and mental health history as well as any pertinent family history. She will also send you a link to complete assessments that have been thoroughly researched and proven effective in diagnosing ADHD. After this step, Amy will write a report and review it with you.
How Is Amy Qualified to Evaluate My ADHD?
Amy is a certified forensic mental health evaluator with diplomat status through the National Board of Forensic Evaluators (CFMHE), a Certified Child Custody Evaluator (CCCE), a Certified Forensic Psychometrist (CFP), and holds a Certificate as an Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Practitioner (ADHD-PT). She has been helping and treating patients with ADHD for decades.
She not only has the training and experience, but she also has the demeanor of a skilled practitioner. She listens and understands. You will walk away from your appointment feeling like you have been finally heard and understood.
